The Hon’ble Commission has issued an order dated 08.08.2005 on tariff and other dispensions for the purchase of power from Bio-mass based projects in the Maharashtra as a promotional and mandatory activity as per Section 86 (e) of E.A. 2003.
As per the guidelines mentioned in the order, the Energy Purchase Agreement along with terms and conditions for purchase is under process. One of the guidelines mentioned in the order is for the payment of fixed charge component of the tariff rate for generation (including deemed generation), upto threshold PLF level of 80%.
In light of above, it is essential that the evacuation arrangement for evacuation of power from such Bio-mass based projects should be free of interruption to avoid the payment against deemed generation to the projects. It is decided to propose only suspension line for evacuation of power from the project. In future for evacuation of power from such projects based on renewable / non-conventional energy sources like Bagasse, Bio-mass, Agricultural waste, wind etc. Suspension line with sufficient current carrying capacity of conductor size should be proposed. We have to consider the reliability factor hence double circuit suspension line should be erected on 152 x 152 mm RSJ pole. This will help in avoiding the failure of the evacuating system.
